Martinsburg woman named Miss Berkeley County

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A Martinsburg woman was named Miss Berkeley County on Saturday night at the Apollo Civic Theatre.

Tamia Hardy, 22, defeated four other contestants to win the crown.

Her platform was “Bystander Intervention,” and she performed a contemporary dance during the talent portion of the pageant.

Megan Scarano, 18, of Martinsburg was first runner-up. Her platform was “Healthy Smiles Last a Lifetime,” and she performed a tap dance as her talent.

Two Eastern Panhandle teenagers won outstanding teen honors at Saturday night’s event.

Sabrina Harrison, 16, of Martinsburg was named Miss Berkeley County Outstanding Teen.
