About the Festival

This year we plan to accept many more films and have additional screening rooms for the less popular films so just about anyone gets a chance to participate!
Films will be screened at locations within walking distance of the theater, in addition to the big screen at the Historic Apollo Civic Theater!
This year we are honored to have keynote speaker Darrell Fetty, Producer of the record breaking miniseries The Hatfields and McCoys starring Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton. Darrell has a long list of credits as an actor, writer and musician. We will also have a pitch session where you can pitch your movie ideas to this well established and successful major motion picture producer. We also have seminars on screenwriting, making films, and production checklist. For details, click here to visit our seminar page.
You won’t want to miss the After Party and mingle with filmmakers, cast and crew. Order dinner or just have a drink while meeting your future collaborators. We always have a huge turnout of cast and crew in addition to the filmmakers. This is a great opportunity to network and many have reported finding cast, crew and funding for future projects at the MAFF!
As always, thank you for your interest in the MAFF and we look forward to seeing you this Year!
