Lela Margaret Lester

Lela Margaret Lester first beheld the original film in 1980 and, after all mere few decades of dramatic reflection, has finally answered the thunderous call of the stage. Making her theatrical debut, Lela bravely steps from the comfort of the audience into the dazzling glare of the spotlight—armed with courage, costumes, and the hope that someone else knows the choreography. When she is not memorizing lines, striking a pose, or making a grand entrance slightly left of where she was supposed to be, Lela works part time as a remote associate clinical project manager and clinical quality assurance auditor in the biopharmaceutical industry. Offstage, her home life is its own full-scale production: cooking, gardening, splitting wood, helping in the yard, and serving as the wildly devoted–and only occasionally mortifying–one-woman fan club for her six grandchildren at school events, softball games, and county fair 4-H animals.
