Nathan Shockey has spent the past five years immersing himself in the world of theatrical production, developing a keen eye for the transformative power of light and space. Currently expanding his technical expertise at Shenandoah University, Nathan is a versatile artist whose portfolio spans lighting, sound, scenic design, and technical direction. He is most recognized for his masterful lighting design of Hadestown Teen Edition, an achievement that earned him a perfect score at the International Thespian Festival. Nathan’s work is characterized by a blend of technical precision and emotional storytelling, a combination he hopes to eventually bring to the Broadway stage. Driven by a deep-seated connection to Hadestown, he aspires to one day professionally reimagine his lighting for the show.
