Inspired by the real-life Newsboys’ Strike of 1899, Disney’s Newsies is a rousing musical about a band of teenage newspaper sellers in New York City. When the publishing titans raise prices at the newsies’ expense, charismatic Jack Kelly rallies his ragtag friends to fight for what’s right — a story of courage, friendship, and standing up to power.
